Why Private Yoga?

Hope you all had a wonderful and adventurous summer. Hard to believe we are already at that back to school time of year. September is a time for growth and change, for getting back to healthy routines, and setting new goals.

What do your self care routines include? If you are planning to incorporate more yoga and movement into your life, let me help guide you.

Why book a private yoga therapy session versus attend a group class?

I just completed my recertification through IAYT -International Association of Yoga Therapists. Every three years, I re-apply by submitting my learning and teaching hours. Being a registered Yoga Therapist, some benefit plans will cover my yoga sessions.

I have recently taken a couple great courses, the foot to hip connection, and the vital psoas muscle. I have learned a lot, and continue to study unique body dynamics. I have been seeing some fascinating ah-ha moments in myself and my clients.

There are many different styles of practice, it can be overwhelming or confusing picking a class that will be both enjoyable and beneficial. While everyone and anyone can practice yoga, it is certainly not a one size fits all type of practice.

A private yoga therapy session will be tailored specifically to the client's unique needs, body dynamics, and level. If the client has questions, they can ask in the moment without feeling they are disturbing the group. I work directly with the client's chronic pain and specific injuries, as well as energy levels.

In my private sessions, I start by taking a closer look at overall posture, starting from foot placement. Watching how the client walks, and transitions from standing to sitting and sitting to standing can teach me a lot about the person's physical ability. I often give home practice suggestions to help manage pain and heal from injuries.

It is an investment in your overall well being. When you are able to move more freely without pain, life and other activities can be so much more fulfilling.

Contact me to book your private yoga therapy session now. Small group training also available.
