Myofascial Rolling

How many different ways can you roll around on the floor?

There are many benefits to working your fascia in different ways. Your fascia is a web like system of tissue that runs throughout your body, connecting your muscles, joints, and bones, and protecting your organs.
Tight myofascial tissue can have a huge impact on your overall range of motion, and can be a contributing factor to chronic pain and muscle imbalances.
By keeping this web like connective tissue fluid, we can increase circulation, improve range of motion, reduce tension and soreness, and promote tissue and injury recovery.
There are many different tools used for a variety of myofascial release techniques. It's always a good idea to start with a softer prop and ease into the deeper pressure. We need to first relax, and gently warm up the connective tissue, give it permission to move and loosen up.

Consistency with myofascial release can help reduce chronic pain, headaches, promote faster healing of injuries, improve posture, and even help to reduce stress.

Did you know that there is a lot of fascia that connects on the bottom of your feet, think plantar fasciatis. By rolling and waking up your feet, you stimulate the nervous system. You can make quite an impact on your whole body, and an overall feeling of lightness simply by rolling your feet daily.

And for an added bonus, some of these amazing props can also be used to provide some instability for deeper core work.

Work on your connective tissue and mobility, while also challenging your deep core. Join me to explore some effective myofascial techniques.
